The Freeground Server Has Launched!

Before we get into the in-world content, welcome to the server. I hope to keep this world going for as long as I can. We'll be upgrading from experimental as soon as possible.

The zombies walk only on this server. You'll find Trader Jen in the forest biome and Rekt in the burnt forest. There are a lot of other details, but you can see them in the server browser before you log on, so I don't have to list them here for now. I'm going to log in and get started! 

Here are the rules:

- Don't be nasty to each other. It's a PVE server, so you can't kill anyone anyway.

- Fence in or cover your holes! Zombies don't dig straight down on this server, so bedrock bases are possible, but we don't want to drive into one or get stuck in a mining hole.

- Don't claim more than one point of interest in the city, and if you do claim one, don't claim a tier five. It messes with the quest system.

- Feel free to comment here.

- No politics or religion in chat or on the blog, please.

- Have fun! I'll be building at 0,0 (middle of the map), and you're welcome to place a claim nearby. I hope to get a player town going! 

Highlights from the front page of the Freeground Beacon:

A new server is coming as soon as the 3.0 Stable version of 7 Days to Die launches. The server is built for adventurous builders, which means it won't lack challenges, but you should be able to build whatever you like. 

The zombies won't run, there will be no biome progression, and a few other tweaks have been made. There will be full sized cities in the Forest Biome, and Jen will be easy to find. I'm excited to launch this new world.

The rest of the newspaper above is comedy with some hints about changes in 3.0 and what you may find on the server after you join. I hope to see you in game when the server launches. Check on this blog for further updates!
