Chill and Build - The 7 Days To Die Server

Chill and Build is a fast progression and building focused server that doesn't have Blood Moons. I once ran this as the original 14 Days To Die, and am spinning this up to celebrate the release of 7 Days to Die 1.0 on PC. I love this game and have over thirty-five hundred hours in. 

We're still in the testing phase because I expect that the Fun Pimps, the developers behind the game, will probably release a major patch on July 25, when 1.0 Stable comes out. If that demands a freshly generated world, then I'm afraid the current world will get wiped. I've restated half a dozen times since the end of June, so I'm not looking forward to another wipe, but if it has to happen so we can have a more stable, fully featured world, then I'll do it without hesitation.

Until then, I'll be prototyping a few builds, starting with a big base.

Server Rules

- Use your claim blocks. It's the only way to prevent griefing along with a locked door. Blocks are 100 times tougher with a claim block, and your claim will prevent your territory from being overwritten when the world is refreshed with the Chunk Reloading System.

- Be aware that, to my knowledge, it is best to have one claim block only. Second and third blocks aren't guaranteed to save whatever is built around them from a Chunk Reload / Refresh / Restore.

- Do not claim points of interest. Claim blocks found in cities, towns, or reserving structures in the wild will be deleted. This has to happen so the quest system can run unimpeded.

- Be kind. This English server is the foundation for a creative community dedicated to having fun, whether alone or in a group. Feel free to ask questions, and please answer politely.

- This server is free. I don't accept donations at this point in time for expenses. If that changes, you'll see it in the logon message or here, no where else. Even when donations are open, they won't be required.

MODS

After extensive testing over several weeks, Chill and Build very few mods were kept so high performance could be maintained while improving the game. Here are the mods that made the cut:

GNS Weather Mod:

1. Lowers the frequency of rain, storms, and fog in all biomes.
2. Removes the smog from the burnt biome, now it looks dry and dusty.
3. Decreases the fog slightly on horde night.
4. No changes to the Wasteland (currently)

GNS Beautiful Bases Mod:

My favourite mod on the list. Very light weight, and balanced to increase the fun but not give anyone a new advantage in the game.

1. Pick up various pictures, posters, signs, and décor items out in the world
2. Craft military barriers (from the cement mixer with two recipes) and barbed wire (available as a variable helper)
3. Craft hoist gear (available as a variable helper)
4. Pick up all flags in the world and craft your own variable helper flag which includes all flag variations
5. Craft the GNS Logo lamp (created by Mumpfy)
6. Craft jail doors and walls. This is highly exploitable, so use at your own discretion.
7. Harvest neon "open" and "cold beer" signs with your wrench and hook them up to power

GNS 2x2 Dew Collector

Makes the dew collector 2x2 instead of 3x3. One block space needs to be open above the dew collector for it to function (it's the block above the "P" in the Pass-n-Gas sticker.

(V1.0) Self Seed Farming (Still in early testing)

Allows plants to return directly to planted seedlings when harvested at the end of their growth cycle. The trade off is not being able to receive any seed drop. Living off the Land and wearing a Farmer's Outfit continue to increase plant yield. This is a server side only mod.

This world is backed up regularly. If it lasts more than a few weeks, and a reset is required that'll wipe the world, I'll make the files available here so you can visit your builds on your own.
